Parking Tips




From Points North (Interstate 93)

• Head South on the Interstate (93 South). Take the Haymarket Square/Government Center exit (first exit after Storrow Drive).
• At the bottom of the ramp, you must turn right.
• Continue for approximately 100 yards until you get to the next light at Congress Street.
• Take a right onto Congress Street – this will become Portland Street. The Anthem Restaurant will be on your left. (Note: Our building, 101 Merrimac, has two entrances – one on Merrimac Street and another on Portland Street.  Both have “101” signs over the doors.)
• 101 Merrimac will be the next building on the left after the restaurant.  There is an Au Bon Pain at street level.

From Points North (Route 1 – Tobin Bridge)

Head South on Route 1 over the Tobin Bridge. (Don’t take the Charlestown Exit.)
Stay on the route heading under a tunnel, which eventually sends you onto 93 South.
Take the Haymarket Square/Government Center exit (first exit after Storrow Drive).
At the bottom of the ramp, you must turn right.
Continue for approximately 100 yards until you get to the next light at Congress Street.
Take a right onto Congress Street – this will become Portland Street. The Anthem Restaurant will be on your left. (Note: Our building, 101 Merrimac, has two entrances – one on Merrimac Street and another on Portland Street.  Both have “101” signs over the doors.
101 Merrimac will be the next building on the left after the restaurant.  There is an Au Bon Pain at street level.

• Head North on the Interstate (93 North).  Take the North Station/Causeway Street exit.
• Go left at the end of the ramp onto Causeway Street; the Fleet Center will be on your right.
• Proceed four blocks, and then turn left onto Lancaster Street.
• Continue on Lancaster Street, and within 2 blocks, the street will merge with Merrimac Street.
• 101 Merrimac will be on the left where the two streets merge.  It has a 101 sign over the doors.

From Points West

• Head east on the Mass Pike (I-90).
• Take the Cambridge exit (next exit after Exit 17) and proceed toward Cambridge.
• At the bottom of the ramp, stay in the right lane, and turn right onto Storrow Drive (immediately before the bridge crossing the Charles River).
• Follow Storrow Drive to the "Government Center, Kendall Square, Cambridge" exit.
• Immediately after you exit, you will come to a signal. Go through the signal, following the signs .for "Government Center, Downtown." Proceed up the hill to the 5th signal (this will include the signal for the fire station and a crosswalk.)
• At the top of the hill get into the left turn lane for Staniford Street. Turn left onto Staniford, and at the bottom of the hill (at the signal), turn right onto Merrimac St.
• 101 Merrimac will be on the left side of the street. It is a brick building directly across from the Edward Brooke Courthouse

From Logan Airport

• Take the Sumner Tunnel towards Boston, using the right-hand lane.
• At the end of the tunnel, stay to the right; avoid the ramp to Storrow Drive, and avoid the left turn under the Expressway toward the Massachusetts Turnpike.
• Bear right and head diagonally under the Expressway, and you will come directly to a light. Go straight through the light, and continue until you get to the next light, at Congress Street.
• Take a right onto Congress Street- this will become Portland Street. The Anthem Restaurant will be on your left. (Note: Our building, 101 Merrimac, has two entrances -one on Merrimac Street and another on Portland Street- both have "101 " signs over the doors.)
• 101 Merrimac will be the next building on the left after the restaurant. There is an Au Bon Pain at street level.

From the M.B. T .A. Orange and Green Lines

• Take the Orange Line to the North Station Stop.  Take the Valenti Way exit out of the Station.
• Exiting the subway station, you'll be at the intersection of Valenti Way and Canal Street.
• Follow Valenti Way two blocks to Portland Street. At Portland St., you will see the Anthem Restaurant in front of you.
• Turn right onto Portland St. (Note: Our building, 101 Merrimac, has two entrances - one on Merrimac Street and another on Portland Street- both have "101" signs over the doors.)
• 101 Merrirnac will be the next building on the left after the restaurant. There is an Au Bon Pain at street level.

Parking Tips
There is a surface level parking lot on the right, as you turn right onto Congress Street.  There is also metered street parking on both sides of Portland Street, as well as an underground parking garage on Merrimac Street.  (Caution:  NO PARKING between the hours of 4-6 pm). In addition, there is a large parking garage on the corner of Congress and New Chardon Streets.
